Take about 3 minutes and find something in the classroom that you can compare. You are going to look at your collection and find which items are bigger (greater than), smaller (less than), or equal to. Use a ruler to find the sizes of the items. Some suggestions: pencils, crayons, shoes, the tallest student to the shortest, and so on.
Explain in words why you chose what you did. What is it about the item (or person) that make it bigger.
Now you are ready for the Internet. Look up Cyber Astronomy (http://www3.wx.js.cn/collect/sun/index.html) and compare which planet is smallest to the biggest. There are different way to compare the planets. This time compare the planets by the diameter size. (Reminder the radius is half the size of the diameter)
Write down the diameter of each planet.
